Spring Term 1 2025
This half term our Topic is Climate Change. We will be learning about different climates and biomes around the world, the animals that live there and how these habitats are being threatened by climate change. We have planned a trip to our local museum to support our learning so please look out for more information on this.
Homework
Homework will be set on Wednesday and is expected to be in by the following Monday. Homework sheets will given to the children and needs to be completed to their best standard.

Morning Maths
All Year 5 and 6 children are encouraged to attend 'Maths Maths' sessions, which takes place on a Tuesday from 08:10am. This club is free and is designed to be an additional session where mental and oral maths learning takes place. The emphasis is on developing skills, accuracy and speed for mental calculations which supports formal written calculations.
PE
PE is on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. Children need to wear their PE kit to school on these days and warm clothing may be required as often we do PE outdoors even in cold weather. A 'beanie hat', fleece jumper, tracksuit bottoms or leggings and fingerless gloves may be useful. No jewellery please and hair must be tied back.
