What is the PTFA?

A group of volunteers, including parents, teachers and friends of the school, who organise fundraising and social events.  This work is vital to the school and provides much needed resources and support for the school.  It is also a great way to meet people, socialise and put something back into our local community.

What are the aims of the PTFA?

To raise funds to buy things that will benefit the children, that the school could not otherwise afford, to organise social events for children, parents and their friends, to foster community relationships.

 

Purchases include:

  • COMPUTER EQUIPMENT
  • DICTIONARIES & ATLASES
  • BOOKS
  • PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT
  • EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES
  • PICNIC BENCHES
  • MUSIC LESSONS
  • RESOURCES FOR PTFA GARDENING CLUB
  • THEATRE - CHRISTMAS PANTO
   

 

Who can belong to the PTFA?

Anyone who has children at the school or who works at the school is automatically a member of the PTFA.

 

Company Sponsorship and matched funding?

Does your employer offer matched funding?  If so, please contact the PTFA as this may be a potential source of funds for the PTFA.

 

How can we find out more?

  • Come to a meeting – we have a friendly, relaxed approach
  • Help at an event – over the years the PTFA have donated thousands of pounds to worthy projects
  • Join the committee - newcomers are always welcome and needed
  • Fun & Social Events - It is not all about raising funds - the social events are equally important and give the children and adults an opportunity to enjoy many friendships.
