Children and staff have worked very hard throughout the year and we were extremely proud of all our children who conducted themselves with maturity and poise during the KS2 SATs. It should be noted that the data is produced from small cohorts.
100% of children achieved Good Level of Development by the end of Reception.
A good level of development is defined as a child reaching the expected standard across 12 prime areas from the EYFS curriculum.
This compares with a national level of 71.5% (2018) and shows that we are performing above national average (it is noted that with such a small cohort - each child represents 20%). The ‘on-entry baseline’ assessment for this group was that few of children were 'on track' at entry point. The children made expected or accelerated progress.
75% of pupils reached expected level in Y1 Phonics check compared to 82% nationally (2018).
5 pupils re-took the Y1* phonics check in year 2 and 2 of the children passed.
*One of these children did not take the test in Y1 due to being out of the English Educational System.
By the end of Y2 73.3% of children in the cohort had met the expected standard for phonics.

Progress Scores: October 2019
Progress scores will be centred around 0, with most schools within the range of -5 to +5.
A negative score does not mean that pupils did not make any progress, rather it means they made less progress than other pupils nationally with similar starting points.
